Re: Dynamic Metadata

Hello Fyrezx, in theory, you can apply dynamic metadata to an edge inside of a loop in the same way as you normally would in the rest of the graph. To do that, you would have to switch to the ‘Source’ tab in the CloverETL Designer view and add a code that resembles what you mentioned in your post. T...

Re: JsonExtract could not read elements having SPACE

Hello Madan_clover3, in order to resolve the issue, please replace “phone numbers” in your mapping with “phone_numbers”. The reason why the underscore needs to replace the space symbol in the mapping is that Clover internally converts JSON into XML and the space symbol is not a valid character in XM...

Re: error when i schedule execute_graph

Hello Mwak, I am afraid I would need to have additional details in order to be able to troubleshoot the problem. Could you provide the following items of information? ⋅ Could you provide me with the complete run log of the graph? The snippet of the run log you sent does not include any spe...

Re: Filtering by Date

Hi Hesske, it looks like you would want to take advantage of the dateDiff() function here. The way how this function is designed would determine the filter expression so it would be slightly different from your example though: dateDiff(today(),$in.0.whenCreated,day) < 2 If you put this piece of CTL ...

Re: JsonExtract could not read json starting with array

Hi Madan_clover3, whether you should select ‘json_array’ or ‘json_object’ in the mapping depends on the actual input data. In this case, it depends on whether the root element in the JSON structure is an object or an array. This difference is shown in the example I have attached in my previous post ...

Re: How can i write to HDF5 using CloverETL

Hi Only_lia,
the HDF5 format is currently not supported in CloverETL. However, we might be able to find a workaround of writing to HDF5 by using the current CloverETL capabilities. Could you provide us with an example CSV file and the expected HDF5 output file?
Best regards,

Re: JsonExtract could not read json starting with array

Hi Madan_clover3, from looking at the snippet of your JSON input data and the mapping, I am a little bit on the fence as to where the mapping actually came from. From the first glance, I noticed that root element mappings should, in fact, be Mappings (note uppercase M) and the first element should n...

Re: EmailReader

Hello Adrian, I am afraid that the issue is caused by the obsolescence of your CloverETL Designer. The 3.2.0 version has been at its End-of-Life for a long time now which means we no longer provide technical support or bugfixes and we do not guarantee compatibility with new versions of Java. I would...

Re: ListFiles doubling explanation required.

Hi GavC, a simple change that would resolve the issue that you encountered is to remove the edge between the ExecuteScript component (called "Unzip") and the second ListFiles component and push the second ListFiles component to a later phase (for example, phase #1). The ListFiles component...

Re: EmailReader

Hi Adrian, I was trying to replicate the behavior of the EmailReader component with JRE 1.8 that you reported but I never ended up in an infinite loop during the testing. This leads me to believe that the core issue might be related to your specific setup. In order to pinpoint the problem, please ge...

Re: No CPU load

Hello Hewills, thank you for the heads up. After a closer look at this topic, it appears that the issues you were experiencing were most likely caused by this bug in the 4.5 version of CloverETL Server UI. The fact that you no longer have this issue in the 4.8 version coincides with the fact that th...

Re: MongoDBReader formatting issues

Hi Shubha, unfortunately, extracting nested elements as json objects (map[string, string]) is currently not supported in CloverETL. We do plan to incorporate such feature in the future but due to its complexity and resource demandingness, it has not been developed yet. However, there are a couple of ...

Re: Creating unique hash

Hello Shubha, it appears that your question has already been answered. Nevertheless, let me mention another option for the sake of approach diversity. If you did not insist on using a hash function, you could take advantage of the persistent sequence functionality in Clover. A persistent sequence ge...
