Re: Can I get multiple returned files from Launch Services?

Hi Paul, You will need to read the zip folder using FlatFileReader and write the values to the writable.channel using FlatFileWriter. Since the zip folder contains multiple files with different metadata, the simplest solution is to use metadata consisting of a single field of a byte type with the fi...

Re: Error while executing the graph on the Server

Hi Girish,

Sorry for the delay, could you please share your graph. I would like to see how it's configured, based on the information of the all.log it's difficult to pinpoint which component is the cause.

Thanks,

Re: Error while executing the graph on the Server

Hi girish_526 Based on the stack trace it's a bit difficult to pinpoint whats causing the issue, thus could you please answer the following questions: 1. CloverETL version, Application Server vendor, version, Java version 2. Component original name, e.g. FlatFileWriter 3. all.log file located in [TO...

Re: Can I get multiple returned files from Launch Services?

Hi Paul,

Launch Services are based on HTTP calls, which does not support more than one file downloaded at once.

A solution to this would be zipping the files and sending that through the Launch Service.

Re: CTL function example

Hi hewills, Creating a .ctl file and importing into transforms/reformats is still possible in newer versions of CloverETL Designer. That being said I have created a simple .ctl function that takes parameters and returns a value: //#CTL2 function string handle_null(string data) { return data==null ? ...

Re: Write SUCCESS flag to Database After Successful DB Output

Hi listsos, The output port you are utilizing to set the flag is only returns rejected records, which works well for the Failure Flag. Now to set the Success flag, I would recommend using the second output port and set a returning statement to output a record inserted. It's also imported to note tha...

Re: Using dictionary variable in the query

Hi Paul, This is still true in the current version of CloverETL, unfortunately, dictionaries are not supported in DBInputTable. On a side note, if you are using CloverETL 4.7 we introduced an improved version of Launch Services called Data Services. If you would like to know more I have added a few ...

Re: Removing random "|" characters from DBInputTable

Hi Jesse,

I replied to a similar question on how to replace on all fields without having to go one by one. I used the reformat and a code I created to accomplish this:

Re: UniversalDataReader SFTP issue

I'm attaching a graph with CustomJavaComponent, which will print out the supported key exchange schemes of the SFTP. When the graph runs, it will enable verbose SFTP logging at DEBUG log level on the Server, until restarted. Afterwards, you should execute your graph that reads from SFTP with DEBUG l...

Re: UniversalDataReader SFTP issue

Hi gch,

I spoke with our developers and they strongly feel they can find a solution to this problem, but they need more details first. Could you please answer the following questions:

  • Java version
  • CloverETL version

Re: Overwrite File After Reformat

Hi rickymartin06, Each graph can be divided into several phases by setting the phase numbers on the components, which is located on the upper right corner. At the moment all your components are in phase 0, please change the UniversalDataWriter to phase 1. You can accomplish in one of two ways, by se...

Re: zeroDate returning 12/31/1969

Hi hewills,

The reason the date value is outputting 12/31/1969 is that zeroDate() is GMT locale. The data being outputted is represented based on the settings in your metadata. I would recommend changing the locale in your metadata to UTC.

Re: Different results using str2date

Hi hewills,

The reason the output is a different date has to do with the capital Y. In Java, the capital Y stands for week year, which is different for y (Year). To resolve the issue just minimize the Y on the second str2date and it will output the correct date value.

Re: Overwrite File After Reformat

Hi rickymartin06

From the screenshot you sent me and the issue you described, I would recommend putting the UniversalDataWriter in a higher phase, thus resolving the issue. With the UniversalDataWriter being in the phase the file is being prepared as soon as the process starts to be written.

Re: Optimizing for ExtSort with very large file

Hi anyeone, That is quite a strange issue, in most cases, the ExtSort should be able to handle that amount of records without causing CG out memory. I would recommend at the moment to put the ExtSort in a different phase, which should force Disk Swapping does allow some of the memory to be released....
