Re: UniversalDataReader SFTP issue

Hi gch,

I spoke with our developers and they strongly feel they can find a solution to this problem, but they need more details first. Could you please answer the following questions:

  • Java version
  • CloverETL version

Re: Overwrite File After Reformat

Hi rickymartin06, Each graph can be divided into several phases by setting the phase numbers on the components, which is located on the upper right corner. At the moment all your components are in phase 0, please change the UniversalDataWriter to phase 1. You can accomplish in one of two ways, by se...

Re: zeroDate returning 12/31/1969

Hi hewills,

The reason the date value is outputting 12/31/1969 is that zeroDate() is GMT locale. The data being outputted is represented based on the settings in your metadata. I would recommend changing the locale in your metadata to UTC.

Re: Different results using str2date

Hi hewills,

The reason the output is a different date has to do with the capital Y. In Java, the capital Y stands for week year, which is different for y (Year). To resolve the issue just minimize the Y on the second str2date and it will output the correct date value.

Re: Overwrite File After Reformat

Hi rickymartin06

From the screenshot you sent me and the issue you described, I would recommend putting the UniversalDataWriter in a higher phase, thus resolving the issue. With the UniversalDataWriter being in the phase the file is being prepared as soon as the process starts to be written.

Re: Optimizing for ExtSort with very large file

Hi anyeone, That is quite a strange issue, in most cases, the ExtSort should be able to handle that amount of records without causing CG out memory. I would recommend at the moment to put the ExtSort in a different phase, which should force Disk Swapping does allow some of the memory to be released....

Re: Reference dynamic metadata in CTL

Hi jblythe99, In the case of Dynamic Metadata, it works a bit differently when referencing in CTL. The code to reference the dynamic metadata is: <tablename> mymetadata; TableName being the name of the table in the SQL query you are referencing. I would recommend having to parameters one for the SQL...

Re: Realocation of CloverBuffer failed error with FlatFileReader reading multiple text files within zip file

Hi Heather, This type of error is misleading, and there are two possibilities that might have cause this: ⋅ CloverBuffer fails because the data stored in the field exceeds the maximum capacity (in which case the property on the engine configuration will need to changed) ⋅ There i...

Re: Pulling Content from a Node (XML files)

Hi leefate If I understand your question correctly, you want to extract a particular Element from multiple XML Files. If that's the case, you can accomplish this using the XMLExtract component and use a wild card in the URL . Assuming that all the XML files are the same structure, you will need to c...

Re: Escape Pipe Characters In Extract

Hi litsos, I wanted to ask you some follow up questions to gain a greater understanding of your use case: ⋅ Are you able to parse the data correctly or are you reading the data as one big string? ⋅ Are the string quoted? ⋅ Are you looking to completely replace the | cha...

Re: Escape Pipe Characters In Extract

Hi litsos,

You can try the following code to remove the pipe from any particular string:

Code: Select all

$0.Firstname := $Firstname.replace("\\|","");

Please let me know if this worked for you

Re: Read Specified file .zip file - no error raised if file does not exist in zip?

Hi Heather, Thank you for reporting this issue, I have taken the liberty of creating a ticket in our system and our Developers are currently working on establishing a fix for our next CloverETL release. In the meantime, I have created a workaround that will cause the graph to fail if the specified f...

Re: JMS Event Listener with RabbitMQ

Hi sshrestha, From the stack trace you included, it appears that the RabbitMQ Java client library is not specified in the application server that CloverETL Server is stored. If so, please download the rabbitmq.jar file and add it to the following path <TOMACAT_HOME>/lib folder and restart the server.
