Re: How does the System Execute Command work related to connections?

Hi pintail, I've got two ideas on how to avoid this behavior. 1. Set the timeout property on the SystemExecute component. The command is executed as a separate process and if it keeps waiting for a response for example, this should kill the process after the selected time. 2. Try using Execute Scrip...

Re: Tomcat user running CloverETL

Hi hewills, Unfortunately, there is no universally recommendable user configuration. I assume you mean that the tomcat user doesn't have access to the Linux shell. In this case the options really are to run the scripts under another user who can do it (as you do now) or to allow the tomcat user to l...

Re: How does the System Execute Command work related to connections?

Hi pintail, I've seen that you have started two very similar threads. Therefore, I will use only this one to, hopefully help you with this issue. The script is indeed saved into a file in a temp folder. The exact path can be seen in run log of the graph when you switch the logging level to DEBUG. Th...

Re: WebServiceClient SOAP response multipart

Hi Axe, Unfortunately, neither WebServiceClient or HTTPClient has the ability to parse multipart responses. Your current solution with HTTPConnector and Reformat is the most convenient. However, you're right, sometimes it really may be useful to have such feature implemented. Therefore I've created ...

Re: How to set a parameter on subgraph?

Hi, You cannot pass a parameter value to a subgraph from an input port exactly due to the fact that there might be more than one records flowing through that edge. Subgraphs are designed for a different purpose than run as many times as how many records are on the input. It will be started only once...

Re: Open Excel File in Data-In folder to edit in clover ETL server project

Hi, I suspect that the projects where you're not able to open the Excel files are of the old RSE type. I'd like to ask you to confirm this, please. You can find out whether the project is a RSE one by right-clicking on it in Designer and selecting Properties. If its location begins with "rse://...

Re: Editing Cron Expression Forcing A Page Refresh

Hi, Yes, this is a known issue which will be fixed in version 4.4.1. This version will be tentatively out in mid-February. You can watch the progress of the work on this issue here: https://bug.javlin.eu/browse/CLO-10101 . The workaround is to type the cron expression manually or to use some publicl...

Re: Clover ETL Server 4.4 SFTP Listener configuration

Hi John, Unfortunately, this is currently not implemented, so a private key authentication cannot be configured for a SFTP file listener. However, I've created an improvement proposal in our system. For the time being I cannot guarantee that it will be implemented but our developers will definitely ...

Re: MySQL connection issues

Hi, The issue is probably caused by the target database connection interruption (most probably a MySQL instance ( 1 , 2 )). Here are some hints how to possibly overcome this issue. 1. The DBInputTable component has a default value of the Fetch size property set to 20 as you are reading hundred of th...

Re: Reading from mulitple xml files

Hi Madan, If you want to filter some fields based on other fields, you need to use some other components such as ExtFilter , Validator or Reformat . Such filtering cannot be done directly in the XMLWriter component. If you want me to prepare an example for you, please provide me with valid input XML...

Re: Geeting error while writing csv file to FTP server

Hi, I've consulted your issue with our developers and it is most probably in settings of the FTP server itself. The FlatFileWriter (or UniversalDataWriter) is using just a bare implementation of the java.net.URLConnection class to save the file to the FTP server. Also, while you're creating the file...

Re: Geeting error while writing csv file to FTP server

Hi jagan, This issue may be caused by several reasons. 1. The port is not opened. 2. There is a user limit set on the FTP server. 3. You are using SFTP protocol instead of plain FTP. 4. There is a firewall on the FTP server or on your machine that is blocking the communication. Please try the follow...
