Hi Egidio,

Let's continue with this discussion via email. I have already notified my colleagues who should be in touch with the Logical Glue team.

Re: UniversalDataReader issue

Hi Egidio,

Could you describe the issue in more details? I think that in Sarah's case it helped to extract metadata automatically instead of creating it manually. See Metedata extraction

Re: CloverETL EmailSender component incompatible with AWS Simple Email Service (SES).

Heather, Please try omitting the first three successful records and start with the one causing this error. Is the job cascade failing even in this configuration? And could you please also send me the jobflow, graph and subgraph files? Feel free to leave out any sensitive information within them. Tha...

Re: CloverETL EmailSender component incompatible with AWS Simple Email Service (SES).

Hi Heather,

Could you please share the whole execution history? I would like to see run logs for all the graphs and subgraphs in the cascade too, if possible.

Also, is there any limit for open SMTP connections on the AWS side?

Thanks.

Re: VARCHAR: Extract metadata from iSeries / DB400

Otto,

no need for apologies, thanks for the detailed description. It is an interesting situation.

Is there any chance that you could try some other driver (a newer version for instance)?

What is the version of the DB?

And what encoding is configured in the DB itself?

Thank you.

Re: Emoji Unicode Characters in a File

Thanks for the responses. Do you really want to focus only on emojis? Are other non-ascii characters allowed? If you want to check for all non-ascii characters, we have CTL functions like isAscii(string arg) or even removeNonAscii(string arg) that could be useful. If other non-ascii characters are a...

Re: VARCHAR: Extract metadata from iSeries / DB400

Hi Otto, Generally speaking, varchar should be always mapped to string. It is quite unusual that the default in your case is byte. I would like to know a few more details, please: 1) What version of CloverETL do you have? 2) Send me the graph run log containing the mentioned runtime errors. 3) Send ...

Re: Emoji Unicode Characters in a File

Unfortunately, CloverETL does not support emojis by default. No CTL function can help you directly with emojis. Also, I am not sure how the emojis are represented in your files, what encoding is used etc. 1) Do you have any sample file containing emojis, please? Could you post it here or send via em...

Hi Raj,

I am not sure how Weblogic server relates to the issue. Community Designer does not run in any application server. Why do you need Weblogic server?

Thanks.

Re: CloverETL - MS SQL Server 2012

Hi, Do I understand it correctly that you are working with CloverETL Designer (not CloverETL Server) and you want to read data from the MS SQL database? If so, you don't have to use ODBC or a separate account, you can indeed use your Windows authentication. See Windows Authentication on Microsoft SQ...

Re: How to enable TLS 1.2

Just an update, our dev team found out that we have a small bug in WebServiceClient which ignores the https.protocols setting. It will be fixed in one of our next releases but at the moment, the only solution is to use Java 8 as mentioned before.

Re: Reading a file from Custom Java Transformer

First, I recommend using CustomJavaReader instead of CustomJavaTransformer. Examples in the reader component are tailor made for various reading scenarios. In CustomJavaReader, you can use this simple syntax: InputStream in = getInputStream("data-in/myFile.txt") If you want to use a parame...
